Once, so long ago now, I knew what it was to love.
These sinews of my heart encompassing my very soul, laden with emotion.
Only wanting of a chance to bestow these resplendent feelings upon another.
I'm consumed now, entangled inwardly by a prison created in my heart;
I struggle against the ropes of pain and hatred that have bound me to its sullen floor.
Each struggle only leading inevitably to the most stolid of horrid defeats.
The ineffably blazing ropes singeing across my skin, demarcating my pain.
My only alleviation the few kind words, actions and reassurances made by you;
You who would enkindle these torturous ropes, and liberate my shameful heart.
I am beholden to you.
